Lampros Minos PA. Graduated Boston University in 1986 with an undergraduate degree
in Health Sciences and Exercise Physiology as well as earning a certificate as
an Athletic Trainer. He worked as an Athletic trainer for 4 years before returning
to school in California to Charles Drew School of Medicine in Los Angeles. He
graduated in 1993 and took a position on the staff where he was trained in General
Surgery Trauma and Orthopedics at King/Drew Medical center in L.A. He returned
to Boston in December of 1993 taking the position at New England Baptist Hospital.
He became Chief Physician Assistant in 1995. While there he worked closely with
Dr. Arnold Scheller, who was the Chief of the Sports Medicine Department, at
the Baptist managing the Sports Medicine Fellowship as well as in surgery. Lampros
has been involved in over 3500 surgeries as an assistant in total joint replacement.
He has also assisted in over three thousand cases of sports medicine surgeries,
including shoulder, knee, and ankle. He left the NEBH and Joined Pro Sports Orthopedics
full time in 2004.
He has been on the sideline covering sports events since 1993 including high school, college, Olympic qualifying events and professional sports teams. He currently acts as an assistant team physician for Brandeis University with Dr. Glen Ross.
He has extensive experience with joint injections and orthopedic injury evaluation. He has injected over 9000 knees with Synvisc as well as numerous shoulders and knees with cortisone. He lectures frequently on injection technique to various orthopedic groups.
